By downloading or using BudgetJar, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What BudgetJar is
BudgetJar is a personal finance and expense tracking app for iOS and Android. The app is a tool for logging your own financial activity. It is not a bank, a broker, or a licensed financial advisor. Any numbers you see reflect what you have entered.
Your account
BudgetJar does not require an account to use. You are responsible for keeping your device secure. Anyone with access to your unlocked device will be able to see and edit your BudgetJar data.
Free and Pro use
The free tier lets you log up to 15 transactions. Pro unlocks unlimited transactions, ad-free use, and every feature. Pro subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel them through your App Store or Google Play account at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Lifetime purchases are one-time and non-refundable except where required by law.
Purchases
All purchases are processed by Apple or Google and are subject to their terms. We do not receive your payment information. For refund requests, contact Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google (support.google.com/googleplay).
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
- Attempt to bypass the free transaction cap or paywall
- Use BudgetJar for unlawful or harmful activity
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app
Intellectual property
The BudgetJar name, logo, and app are the property of their owners and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app as described in these terms.
Disclaimer
BudgetJar is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it working, but we cannot promise it is bug-free, uninterrupted, or that it will meet every need. You are responsible for any decisions you make based on information in the app.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, BudgetJar, its creators, and contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the preceding 12 months, or zero if you have not purchased Pro.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
